What is the current state of Android Development Studio + AMD?
I'm thinking of doing an upgrade - KORONTIN, the home computer does not handle remote work well, you need more cores. Right off the bat: Intel or AMD? Intel is faster in one core, AMD is faster in all of them.
I'm not developing for Android yet, but I'm looking at it. Previously, it was believed that only Intel was suitable for development - the emulator did not support AMD virtualization technologies. How about it now?

Now this is better. Quote from here:
Virtualization extension requirements
In addition to the development environment requirements, your computer's processor must support one of the following virtualization extensions technologies:
- Intel Virtualization Technology (VT, VT-x, vmx) extensions
- AMD Virtualization (AMD-V, SVM) extensions
Most modern processors support these virtualization extensions. If you're not sure whether your processor supports these extensions, check the specifications for your processor on the manufacturer's site. If your processor doesn't support one of these extensions, then you can't use VM acceleration.
Virtualization is needed for the emulator.
But it is better to work without an emulator, directly on a real device. Then there is no difference - Intel or AMD
AMD Ryzen 5, emulators start immediately on click, used to start very, very slowly for several minutes, turn off too slowly. Now there are no problems with this, everything is instant
