What is the cost of a freelance 2D animator?

I'm new, just starting to freelance. They ask how long you can do this work:

Let's say I specify 2-3 hours. And how to estimate the cost? They ask how much you expect, given the alienation of copyright for this work.

I divide the cost of creating animation into 2 parts:
The trick is that many customers have an affronted idea of the work of designers in general, and motion designers in particular. Many people think that a 3x6 meter outdoor advertising banner should cost several times more than a 100x100 pixel banner. He's big/small!!! It's the same in animation. Tipovuha: "And this is in 4 seconds?!?! Have a conscience!!!". They do not understand that the labor costs for the source material (illustrated graphics) for a video of 3 seconds and 60 seconds are in principle comparable in terms of time and money. Therefore, a cost-sharing approach would be appropriate. Everything is transparent and clear to the customer, as a rule, questions disappear. If he wants to save on illustrations, he agrees to a more mundane level, or vice versa (often) increases the cost for a better result. Good up-sale, I tell you.
PS: For serious customers + 3rd point: scenario. In this case, a frivolous request in the style of "I'm exactly the same." Among such customers, there are also good ones - they agree to pay for their oddities at an increased rate, and the designer does not have to worry too much about the creative.

From the same from which for any other profession :
From below - no less than you need to eat, the Internet, get dressed, etc. (well, if you don’t live at the expense of your parents). Otherwise, it's better to do something else.
Above - and how much customers are willing to pay (depends on your promotion, suspended language and competitors).
