What is the correct way to partition a volume for lvm use?

Good afternoon))
I'm interested in the option of partitioning a volume using lvm and subsequent encryption of volumes.
What sections do you need to take out separately?
How much space should be allocated for these sections?
And is there any point in creating a swap if there is 16 gb of RAM on board?
I am also interested in the sequence of actions when marking up, encrypting the volume and installing ubuntu (I know how to roll os itself).
Available hardware
Core i5 6500
SSD - 120gb - with windows
HDD 1tb and 250 gb
RAM 16gb
installed on it. Ubuntu installation is planned to be carried out on a 250 GB hdd.
Accordingly, all this space must be marked out for the needs of all partitions.

Make three partitions on the disk: 1) swap (8GB), 2) boot (512M), 3) system (remaining space).
Encrypt the entire system, raise lvm based on it. Create a volume that will store your rootfs.
I do not recommend completely abandoning the swap.
