What is the correct/faster/better way to transfer a large number of images (~60 gigs) from one VPS to another?

Please tell me how to transfer 60 gigs from one VPS to another more correctly / faster.
The project on rails mb use s3, maybe then there is a quick (automated) solution for copying data to s3?
