What is the cloud setting in the new Notepad++?

Installed updates. There was a new Cloud setting in the settings menu, I chose DropBox there. What is it for? Dropbox doesn't load anything

Loading. In Dropbox, the Notepad++ folder appears, for example.
The settings files seem to be overwritten only when Notepad++ is closed. Well, and another backup of unsaved changes, every N seconds (7 by default), if enabled in the settings.
