Delivery

What is the best way to send small envelopes in Russia?

I raised a small store. After the purchase, the client will need to send a small letter with an attachment (in size and weight - like a couple of DVDs). The
question is, which delivery system is best to choose? Heard a lot about PonyExpress, EMS and others, but has not decided yet.
Delivery is planned so far only in Russia, but the possibility of transfer to the CIS countries is not ruled out.
If you need additional / clarifying questions - ask, I will clarify.
Thank you.

Oddly enough, regular mail. It does not work so badly, and it has the highest prevalence and low prices. EMS (judging by the forums) has much more jambs. By the way, “like a pair of DVD discs” is likely to be enough for a small package.

If 10 days suits, then by Russian Post, as written above, but either by registered order or with an inventory and declared value (the inventory will not be accepted without value). Because they put a tracking number on custom orders and with an inventory (it’s also the invoice number). And on it you can track the shipment on the website of the Russian Post. The site sometimes (quite rarely, a day or two or three a year) does not work, but usually everything is fine.
If you need faster, it depends on the region of sending and receiving. From St. Petersburg and Moscow beyond the Urals, Baikal Service quickly carries, between St. Petersburg and Moscow - City Express, from anywhere and anywhere (but very expensive) - DHL.
I tried EMS a few years ago and only for sending letters and parcels abroad and from abroad (i.e. NOT within the country) - it was acceptable (more precisely, to Russia it was fast and inexpensive, from Russia it was a little slower, but very expensive ).

I recommend Major - www.me-online.ru/
Regular mail, however, does not work well and often loses letters.

It is possible by Russian Post.
It must be an insured package, then it will have a tracking id for tracking, and insurance in case of loss / damage.
If sent by 1st class, delivery throughout Russia will be within 10 days.
Weight up to 2 kg.
You will not find cheaper, the availability is maximum. As for faster and more reliable - no data.

For a similar task, I use the first class mail of the Russian Post.
More or less stable terms, surprisingly no losses. All shipments are tracked, you can use cash on delivery. Any private courier service will be much more expensive.
Specify what product you have and the estimated weight, I'll tell you how to send the cheapest.

Anything but EMS. They have constant problems with couriers who do not call.

By regular mail in the form of a valuable letter. They still treat such items better.

If we need to transfer something very quickly, we use Pony Express, in the office we call it a horse :) we often send it to Moscow from St. Petersburg, the package is there the next day, it seems like 1kg - 300r 300r, and it is heavy)

I send packages first class - it arrives faster than a week, there is a tracking id, while the features of the PR - if you see that the package has arrived at your office, you can simply come with your passport and say this very tracking id - they will issue it right away. Sometimes, however, the data on the site is updated the next or every other day, or they are made after the fact.
