• If this is a photograph (that is, there are a lot of multi-colored pixels in the picture), then JPG with a compression ratio> 85%.
  If you want to shake an image, squoosh.app and ImageOptim will help.

Personally, I usually use jpg and png, but png only where transparency is needed, because it weighs significantly more. jpg does not support transparency.
