Auto-posting is at least more convenient. All more or less large groups use it. It is much easier to puff in the morning, create a dozen or two entries, setting a timer on them, and throughout the day supplement the news with only the most relevant. Again, if you suddenly drive off where you need to - also an indispensable assistant. And it is more pleasant for users to receive messages evenly (well, or with increased intensity at certain hours), and not with huge breaks, because you went to drink beer.
