What is the best way to organize work with a remote database?
Good afternoon.
Input data : there is an Accent accounting program, runs under MS SQL, database sizes are 10 GB and 6 GB, users (about 60 people) connect to the database remotely via rdp (remote desktop server and database are different machines).
Challenge : Move data to the cloud or mask the location of the server. Nothing criminal, just physically we are located on the territory of the so-called. DPR, and the concept of legality here is rather conditional - they will take away the iron and you will not do anything, only you need to pay money.
At first I considered the option with a dedicated server, but as it turned out, all hosters (or did I look badly?) Together with the server, only 2 RDP connections are available, and more - only for quite a lot of money (for example, Hetzner asks 5.88 € per month for each additional connection).
Another option is to use a proxy, but wouldn't it be a problem with access speed?
What would you advise?

Here's an idea for you: move the database to the cloud and keep the terminal server
The apartment is in the next entrance through the wall, in the next house across the road and WiFi - the speed for RDP is enough.
