What is the best way to organize the structure of the service site?
Hi everybody.
A friend asked about how best to organize the structure of a computer services site (he gave an example of a site he liked, here ). Can't decide, and I'm confused. He repairs and tunes computers and televisions. He threw off the structure:
- computers
- laptops
- monoblocks
- programs
- TVs
In each of these sections he plans to add services (description, prices).
It also has a "problems" section.: does not turn on, black screen, does not catch the network, the screen turned upside down, makes noise and other cases. And this is where discussions begin about where to shove these "problems" - into the section of computers, laptops, monoblocks or programs. Neither I nor he has a definite answer.
On the one hand, these "problems" should be in the section of technology to which they relate. If they are inside a section, then this section will have a higher "value".
On the other hand, more than 90% of the problems are related to software, but also to computers, laptops, and all-in-ones at the same time. If "problems" are placed in such a ratio (90% in the programs section, the rest - in PCs, laptops, monoblocks), then the "programs" section will be full-fledged, while others will not be very good. Entering the "programs" section, the user will see the solution to the problems, but the same problems equally apply to the types of computers (stationary, laptops, monoblocks).
There are the following options for creating a structure in this situation:
1. Separate all problems strictly (90% for programs, 3% for computers, 3% for laptops and 3% for monoblocks). So, it seems logical.
2. Create a section "news" or "blog" and add all the "problems"
What do you advise?

If only the search engine saw you. Most of the sites come from the search engine.
So that's the advice. Under the page, create 2 tabs: Reviews and Troubleshooting.
Accordingly, reviews are just feedback. Problem Solving is a card in the form of a title for a solution technique and links to sections to which it applies.
How to programmatically decide for yourself. I would put the solution to the problems in a common block and simply substitute typical solutions on the pages.
I think you should dig on Behance or dribble, get ideas and sketch what you need.
3. Create a "Problem Solving" section. And in this section describe the solution of problems (if you go like that)
I would pull the Problems section to the top level. And I already made subsections in it: computers, phones, TVs, etc. This will draw the attention of users to an important word, because they come to a similar site to solve an existing problem, that is, this concept should be the first in site navigation.
And also, at the top level, the form "Ask a question" or "Describe a problem", if the functionality of the site suggests this.
The same problem can occur on multiple devices.
Make a separate section for problems and put tags on problems, such as "computer", "laptop".
In the section with a computer and display a list of problems with the appropriate tag, but the links themselves to the problems section.
