What is the best way to make a background video for a website?

Need to make a video instead of a background image on the site. I have tried two options at the moment:
1. Embed video through BigVideo.js, the video is inserted, but the solution is not cross-browser (in Mozilla, for example, the video is simply replaced by a picture), so it was decided to refuse.
2. Insert video from YouTube. There were no problems with using the video as a background, but for some reason I can’t set it up correctly - the loop parameter specified in the link does not work.
Questions:
A) What is the best way to end up with a background video?
B) If this is still one of these two options, then how to implement them correctly?

The main thing is that by default it does not work, only when you press some "button", otherwise you will make it worse for yourself. The more whistles, the worse.
In general, all browsers support html5.

Use the html5 video tag . Who told you that FF does not support video?
Encode in the correct formats, read the documentation.

If not very large, then you can use gif animation. If not, then make up in layers and place the video with a flash drive on the bottom layer
