By video? Programming? No way.
It's like learning to have sex from porn - something will settle down, but in reality it won't take off.
This is the answer.
Watch and write at the same time. If something is not clear, pause and google. It makes no sense to repeat thoughtlessly.
You can just watch if you are already well versed in the "framework", and the video shows some tricks / features.
I strongly disagree with those who write that it is impossible on video. Also, I do not agree with those who write that you need to learn from books. Learning is most effective when you perceive information both aurally and visually. Video tutorials are the best. You can get more detailed information later in books, but I would not recommend learning from them from scratch. Although, everything can be individual.
5 years ago, I learned from scratch using video tutorials that I downloaded from a torrent:
Now I have 100+ websites developed by me. I made half of them when I was an employee in the office, the other half - when I started working for myself. Sites are both landing pages and corporate sites, as well as online stores with tens of thousands of products, multicurrency, personal accounts, payments, discount systems, etc. And sites are not riveted on Wordpress, but on CMF MODX, where there are just a lot of custom decisions have to be written.
So, there is no need to dissuade a person by measuring by himself.
You can learn everything from the video.
I do not recommend combining training with work, then there may not be enough strength. Set aside money to exist for at least 6 months and start learning.
It is effective to watch the video, if something is not clear, watch 2-3 times until you understand. Then, do the task, it should be after each lecture. I also took notes on everything while watching (like lectures at the university). True, I never opened the summary later, but when I took notes of everything, I remembered better.
Of course, there will be toxic hacky developers here, or "old sysadmins" who will say that web development is not programming, php is generally bad, etc. I advise you not to pay attention to them while they whine, we earn money.
Good luck with your learning!
PS. Think about why sis. admins write answers to you here, and they are not developers. You need to listen to those who have already gone through the path of training and are successfully working in the field that you asked a question about, and not those who heard something somewhere or tried and failed.
