What is the best core to use for a college/academy website?

Simply put, I started to make a website, I decide which core to use. Messed around with Drupal for a week. The core may be powerful, but for a person who is not familiar with it, it is difficult to master. Tell me which core is better to use, where the complexity and capabilities will be more or less balanced, according to the following requirements:
-ADMIN / simple placement of material (so that teachers can add any articles, for example a lecture)
-REGESTRATION (possibility of limiting some pages for non-registered users)
