What is the best way to install Linux in particular to work with Docker?

Gaining first experience in using virtualization. How can I install Linux better for myself? As a second operating system or a separate virtual machine for it?

Docker is lightweight virtualization. Do you want to build a nesting doll from virtualization inside virtualization?
To learn Linux, it is contraindicated to put it in a virtual machine.

To work with Docker, it is better to install just Docker.
It will work under WSL in Windows 10 - this and the basics of linux will be just right for you when working with Docker.
