What is the best way to give data to the user (Excel / PDF)?
Guys, please tell me, when creating a web service, how is it better to display the data that the user should download now?
Well, an example is this - on the web we fill in data in tables, forms, etc.
Then, a large final document should be generated from this data, which the user should print and give to the management for signature. The document must strictly comply with a certain template (OKUD for example).
On the one hand, in PDF you can do anything with code.
On the other hand, in Excel you can immediately make a template, which you can then simply stuff with data.
What do you think?

If you do not plan to subsequently edit the document in Excel, then PDF
If the final document has many tables, then in Excel, if not, then in PDF.
I always upload a PDF when I'm not sure if the end user has Excel.
I explain that the office suite costs money and the user does not always have the version in which the file is given. Office analogues can open the file, but do not guarantee that the user will see what we would like to show the user. The most correct option is to transfer a PDF or a link to a file in the cloud, such as Google Drive.
