What is the best way to distribute Li-ion cells in a battery pack knowing their resistance?
I have 36 cells for a 12S3P battery.
Resistances from 13.6 to 14.6 mom (measured by passing a change of 1 kHz)
. parallel groups are self-balancing, which means ideally that each of the 12 series groups should be the same resistance. And the group with the most resistance will always discharge faster. I understand correctly?
Of course there is an active BMS, but I want to do everything according to science)

no difference.
a simple BMS will simply disconnect a charged group from further charge.
inside a parallel group, each bank will pick up as much charge and give it back.
if you really want science, then put a capacitive balancer. then all banks will be in ideally identical conditions.
