What is the best way to digitize videocassettes?

VCR and video cassettes provided. What's the best way to digitize them? There is easycap, and there are different types of TV tuners (for example, Pinnacle PCTV, AverMedia). Interested in a budget option available on the secondary market, because the cassettes are ordinary home video.
The reviews are different everywhere, I want to know the opinion of someone who had experience in digitizing.

I’ll add more, if it’s not very important to get the highest quality, and there is an old DV video camera with AV inputs, then you can just send tulips from the video camera to the camera, and the camera will shovel this thing into a digital digital converter through its ADC, and write to the memory card your own, or stream outside on your computer..

If there is a digital video camera with video input support, then it would be ideal to use this particular method - to "remove" a video cassette on a video camera, and from it already get a figure.
If there is no such option, then it is easier to contact any digitization studio - this service is not so expensive today. At home, on a cheap tuner, it may not be possible to achieve a good result.

The biggest difficulty in this process is not so much in choosing a video capture device (although a frankly bad device can ruin everything), but in how to play tapes. Most likely, the combination of old cassettes and an old dusty VCR will produce a rather crappy picture. Therefore, I will support the previous answer and say that it is better to take this to those who do it professionally and about whom there are reliable good reviews (well, or take one test tape to them first). Professional equipment has a few more settings in order to "pull out" a decent picture from a cassette.
