What is the best way to deal with the display of products on the manufacturer's page?

How to structurally implement such a requirement of the customer? Products are associated with manufacturers, all manufacturers are in a separate infoblock, the connection is made using the 'Binding to elements' type property. There is a detailed page of the manufacturer with its description. It is required that on the detailed page, before the description, a list of manufacturer's products (apparently, catalog.section) with a Smart filter, in which the specified manufacturer would be selected - if it is disabled, the catalog will display all products without reference to the manufacturer.
Or, another option is to display on the manufacturer's page a list of catalogs containing its products (with an indication of their quantity), and when you navigate through them, open the main catalog, but also with the manufacturer selected in the Smart Filter.
How would you advise to do it? Which option is better - easier to implement and more understandable for the user? Maybe there are other options? I would be glad to know about them.
