What is the best way to configure mac os to execute and debug php code locally?
Hello.
A stupid habit has formed to conduct all development on a remote server, on dev copies of sites, uploading only the necessary files via phpStorm
Now I took a smart macbook and it became necessary to work locally. I also liked VS Code, I want to switch to it.
The problem is that I'm not smart enough to set up a local server.
I last programmed locally under windosw during the Denwer monopoly.
Now I found out that it is a good option to deploy a virtual server on a VirtualBox + Vagrant bundle, but there was a problem that I described in this tick How to run a Vagrant server on VirtualBox? (I would be glad if you can help there too).
Can XAMPP do enough?
I also could not understand how self-sufficient VS Code is. Do I have to put the project on a local server or is VS Code sufficient? Maybe just installed php is enough for VS Code?
Please explain how to teapot. The realization came to me that in setting up a local server, I don’t rummage around at all.

All in one, like denvir
https://netbeans.org/kb/docs/php/configure-php-env...
https://ru.wh-db.com/article/xampp-vm-kak-ustanovi. ..
Studio setup
https://guides.hexlet.io/vscode-for-php-setup/
In addition, I would recommend installing a virtual machine and running the same distribution as your hoster.
512 megabytes is enough.
