System Galaktika: Schedule of training sessions (RUZ) is designed to automate the process of scheduling training sessions in educational institutions of higher and secondary vocational education. The main users of the system are assumed to be employees of educational and methodological departments of educational institutions responsible for the formation of the timetable.
Capabilities of the Galaktika system: Schedule of training sessions:
•maintenance of all reference information necessary for building a schedule (classroom fund, teachers, faculties, specialties, etc.);
• import of data from external xml-files;
•use of excel-templates for data preparation and loading;
• maintenance and accounting of several call schedules for various buildings, schedules, days of the week;
•recording of shifts in the schedule;
• control of linking the classroom fund to disciplines, types of work, departments, faculties;
•setting the priorities for the use of resources in the schedule (priorities of disciplines, teachers, complexity of disciplines and types of work);
• setting and control of the temporary remoteness of buildings, their priorities in the appointment of classes;
• support for various associations of the contingent (subgroup; group; flow), control of their intersection when scheduling;
• maintenance and use of schedules for the passage of disciplines;
• taking into account the sequence of studying disciplines;
• creation of bans on the use of resources in the schedule, including the wishes of teachers, availability and booking of the classroom fund;
• schedule design with effective software support and control of operator's actions;
• automatic formation of the schedule;
•setting the duration of classes;
• express assessment of the general parameters of the schedule (shifts, duration of the school week, school day);
•control of the feasibility of the generated schedule, the completeness of the certainty of the resources of the lesson, the elimination of conflicts in their purpose, etc.;
• prioritization, accounting and control over the execution of more than two dozen schedule quality indicators;
•calculation of integral indicators of schedule quality;
• keeping a log of operational changes;
•formation of reporting forms.
