What is the best popular science book for a programmer?

Please tell me a good book that you can give to your programmer husband :)
Not necessarily on coding, the main thing is something for an analytical mindset (perhaps something popular science or good science fiction).
He liked the books of King, Lem, Hawking, a couple of years ago he read Lukyanenko.
Now he is reading "Entertaining Physics" by Perelman.
I would be very grateful if you respond) I have already broken my whole head.

You can other books Perelman. It has recently been reprinted by an excellent publishing house.
From the scientific pop you can delve into the series that the Dynasty Foundation published.
Here are two more wonderful books on physics - one , two Mustread, definitely.
As for science fiction - here you can recommend even more :) Therefore, in addition to the classics (Lem, Azimov, Heinlein, Simak, Zelazny, Sheckley and others like them), I can recommend just such a series . Compiled by Gardner Dozois, a very famous fellow in the SF world. We have several books by Eksmo, in my opinion translated. I have one - published very well, quite a gift edition. There are also all sorts of series "All <author's name>" also look very decent.
Have a look at this list as well.
Perhaps everything, otherwise I can do this for a long time.

After Lem's Solaris and Fiasco, this would be good:
