What is the best distributed file system to use for a cluster?

The task is to organize fast automatic replication of content uploaded by users without using a CDN within a cluster of linux servers. The servers themselves are located in different cities. Tell me which file system or technology is best suited for this. GlusterFS, NFS or something else that I probably haven't heard of.

@liveder

Look towards Riak

I like GlusterFS, though I haven't tested it much.
