What is the best book to buy on Windows 7 for your mom? :)

My mother lives far away, and I would like to buy a book for her so that she does not ask stupid questions. The book should not be for completely downs, I still know how to do something else. Any practical advice, questions and answers, how to do it, how to do it.

I installed Ubuntu for my mother a long time ago, she mastered it without any problems. Internet, video, music, but she does not play games and photoshops. She is comfortable and comfortable. Free, stable (for three years, no problems), NO VIRUSES.
In general, I recommend the same solution to you.

If a book, then Alexander Levin - Self-instruction manual for working on a computer. Specifically for w7 - 11th edition.

In the age of interactivity, it is better to show videos. This is about Win7.
And if you want to teach the progenitor how to work with a computer, it is much more humane to put a simple shell with a minimum of extra distracting tinsel.

I would recommend an interactive course: "Microsoft Windows 7 - Interactive Video Course in Russian".
And if he talks about a book, then he would advise the Microsoft Windows 7
or Windows 7 Tutorial. Russian version (+ CD-ROM)
The main thing is that there would be a video and then it will be much easier for mom to master Windows 7.

And I would advise more thorough video courses on Vista, since everything about W7 is now done extremely hastily and for the sake of profit, normal books on W7 will not appear until next year.

“I didn’t ask stupid questions” - well ...
In general, there is such a thing as Team Viewer.
