What is the animation software?

Lately I've been interested in animation. I see especially many examples on dribbble.com
For example: dribbble.com/shots/1489524-Calibre-Club-Logo-Anima...
Tell me , what programs are used in such activities and in which direction to dig?

Photoshop is not the topic here... If, according to this example:
1) the picture itself was drawn in vector, Illustrator or Corel (I tend to favor the first one)
2) take a look at the tags a little to the right and below from the demo. What do we see in the first line? after effects.
3) go to this user's profile: dribbble.com/seth_eckert. What do we see in his skills? All the same After Effects, Illustrator and something new about Cinema 4d.
And the answers are close, right? =)
Now more seriously: these three programs, the basis of modern video infographics, are better and more accessible than this package yet, but if you want to go in this direction, then you should definitely study it.
