What is required to deliver an IExplorer application to a SunRay 2 thin client, having a SunRay server and a Windows 2012 R2 server?

I am creating a structure that is currently built from local PCs (Windows 7) on a local network (goal, to abandon local PCs). There are many SunRay 2 clients and a running Solaris 10 server where the thin clients log in and can move on...
On the workstations, only IExplorer is needed to run the web interface.
There is a Citrix license, but there are few licenses for Windows Terminal (there is not enough for the required number of jobs), so the option with the usual RDP on Windows Server has disappeared.
Do I need a Citrix server, or is Citrix XenApp sufficient on a Windows machine and set SunRay on it?
