What is required from a junior php developer?
For the last 10 years, I have been doing a little bit of everything on my own (seo, layout, basic js programming), but I didn’t achieve any special results and realized that the time to dream is over, it’s time to go for hire (I’m 32). The problem is that my knowledge is not systematized and there are many of them, but in different areas. I decided for myself that I want to become a backend developer (php), especially since I have some experience (layout for wp and writing small plugins). I understand that this is not enough and now I am putting my knowledge in order in accordance with phptherightway, I am learning from YouTube lessons and php.net.
Tell me, please:
1) Am I doing everything right or are there any "more correct" ways to get to the level of a good junior?
2) At what level is js knowledge required for a php developer? These languages often overlap and, as I understand it, knowledge of js is a very big plus.
3) I don't have examples of work in github, should I start uploading at least some examples of executed code there? Or is it better to make interesting ready-made projects (some site, service or plugin for wp in the official repository) and provide them as a portfolio, and not a link to a github?
4) My plan for getting a job is something like this: do 2-3 projects (website / plugin) and bring my knowledge to a level where I can answer all questions for an interview in php for juniors and middles, after that start responding to everything suitable vacancies. Is this a good approach or can something be improved?

Read the job description, go through two or three interviews. Then either they will hire you, or you will understand what exactly needs to be tightened up in order to be hired.
In most cases, a junior requires knowledge of the basics and general adequacy, which, apparently, you already have. If they demand more - most likely, the company just wants to take the midship for the junior's salary.
1) Books decide
2) Yes, on any it is not so difficult to bother much with PHP
3) And how did you do everything for ten years and not use github? when I was programming at school, I suffered from the fact that there was no git and I did not know how to subversion which thread.
4) Why haven’t you riveted a hundred sites to friends and acquaintances in ten years and have nothing to show?
It is enough to read the book

In most cases, this will be enough for a junior.
And so look at vacancies and pump skills
