What is remote control in Android 3.2?

Today I turn on my tablet (Samsung Galaxy 7.0 plus) and in the notifications immediately after the download, the inscription remote control appeared, blinked and disappeared, before that I hadn’t used the tablet for about a month, it was lying on the shelf, and I didn’t observe this for a year of its use. Paranoia kicked in. Although there is nothing so important on the tablet, it is still interesting what kind of remote control it is and who uses it.

Maybe they meant its synchronization with the Google cloud - contacts, calendars, a list of packages that can be updated, some kind of check “whether it was declared by the owner as lost and should it roar the user's data”?
Maybe a utility was installed to control the tablet from a PC? what does google say about this?
