What is more important for a MariaDB server, number of cores or frequency?

I choose a server for MariaDB
SSD raid 1
32 GB ECC Ram
, but the question arose about the processor, what is needed for the base, the number of cores (threads) or clock speed?
choice between:
Intel® Xeon® Processor E3-1245 v5 (3.5 GHz / 4 Core / 8 Threads)
Intel® Xeon® Processor D-1531 (2.2 GHz / 6 Core / 12 Threads)
Looking for advice, preferably reasoned.

For the database, io (fast disk) and the number of operatives are more important, so that the indexes fit. And a higher frequency does not mean greater performance, 10-15 years ago there were already processors under 4GHz, but they are weaker than modern mobile processors with a much lower frequency.

Here I take an Intel® Xeon® Processor E3-1245 v5, bicosis
1) cheaper
2) there is a smart cache
3) there is integrated graphics
4) an inexpensive and affordable mother There
is nothing to choose, everything is already clear.
Bench-wise, they are the same, but I still prefer this one, because there is more performance per thread and less parallelization losses.
XEON D is an all-on-a-chip SOC solution, while XEON E-family is an all-in-one platform for high performance microservers. Type like pentium and crust.
