What is fraught with root on android? What can break?

If I install and run framaroot (KZTP) on android, then what could be wrong?
I read that the device can become a brick. As far as I understood, it was meant that he would become a "vegetable", that is, he could turn around. Is it so? And what to do to not be so?

I always immediately root the devices when buying, there have never been any problems.
The warranty is not lost (registered in the RFP).

As I understand you, I myself was afraid to root my android. In general, I share my experience in order.
1. Ideally, if you just try to run framaroot, nothing bad will happen. This app poke your device into known vulnerabilities and if it manages to elevate it will install SuperSU. This su wrapper will ask you for confirmation every time an application asks for root permissions. She doesn't do anything else.
2. If this stage was successful, you can greatly simplify your life: install an adblock, firewall, cut out pre-installed applications from the firmware (very carefully), backup applications along with their data, etc.
3. The danger lies in the fact that once you feel free, you will start experimenting with the system. Many of the applications that require rooting on "bad" devices can lead to inadequate operation or even bootloop (loading that never ends). Therefore:
3.1. Or don't get close to anything that has the words xposed, root, ROM, tweaker, etc. in the name.
3.2. If you come up, stock up first with a full backup of the installed firmware. It is desirable together with applications, so that it would not be so offensive.
If you are not confident in your abilities, do not go beyond the second point. But in any case, first study the materiel three times. For example, here .
Ah yes, the bricks. You can get a non-bootable system. A device that does not turn on at all is much more difficult. In general, hopelessly killing an android is not an easy task if the smartphone already has something like Clockwork mode recovery. And backups! :)
But there is one caveat: some manufacturers are trying to make life very difficult for those who want to root. For example, you are "lucky" if you have NTS. But these questions are no longer for me.

there is a small chance that some apps will stop working. For example, clients for Internet banking, there may be a root check.
