What is flat wire used for in solar panels?

Faced with the task of understanding the technology of production of solar panels.
You need to understand what flat tape (PV-Ribbon) and wire are used for.

I don't know what kind of wire you mean, but flat ribbons are used simply to electrically connect the individual solar cells included in the battery to each other.
1 single cell gives a very small voltage - only 0.4-0.5 volts in operating mode, and batteries are most often made at 12V, so at least 24 cells must be connected in series with each other inside the battery before outputting voltage to the outer wire / terminals.
And it is most convenient to connect flat (and very thin!) photocells with flat contact pads with just such a flat conductive tape, and the contact is much better compared to a round wire.
