Universities need the discipline itself for their own purposes, most often some kind of grant or bonus from the state / sponsor: first they do “to make it happen”, and then they think “what to cram in”. That is why there are different interpretations and methods. In any case, this direction has not been formed with us, so I see no point in striving there; there are no graduates yet. In general, business informatics is applied informatics, which includes disciplines related to enterprise management.
I know graduates of this direction. Tellingly, they themselves cannot explain what it is. "Computer science in business" is a great answer. Only it is not yet clear whether this is the direction or the graduates.
This is a mixture of IT education and economics. VSE was the first to launch the faculty 7-8 years ago.
Quite a cool specialty if you have the ability to self-learn.
If the university is good, then they teach all sorts of fundamental things in modern IT (IP, why, why, PM). But technical knowledge is in fact zero. That is, they are preparing something in the spirit of managers who can fit well into an IT team in the form of a PM or an analyst. But they try to teach too much, in the end it turns out a little bit of everything.
bachelor's and master 's standards in business informatics. It describes all the subjects and topics (as well as the number of hours taught) that should be in this specialty. Where it says "disciplines of the student's choice" do not really hope, usually the university makes this choice for you =)
PS Over time, the standards may change and those that I show you now may be a little outdated, but in general, in theory, this The site should be updated with standards as they are adopted. In any case, nothing could change much ...
Business informatics is a combination of economics and IT; business informatics studies not only programming, but also economics and management. After BI, you can start your IT business, find a job from a programmer to the head of an IT department, this specialty does not limit you to one direction, there are more opportunities and choices.
SUSU (Chelyabinsk) has a specialty BI (electronic business) - hsem.susu.ru
