What is better to use for containerization on rhel7: regular docker (1..13) or podman? What are the pros and cons?

there is a rhel7 server, a problem has arisen: use docker from the repository (obviously outdated) 1.13 or switch to work with podman, which supports and updates. Does anyone have experience? Can someone share their thoughts and outline the pros and cons of each approach?

In addition to the docker from the regular reps, there is also a fresh docker-ce from the official docker reps.
