What is better to mine on processors now?

Questions and answers here, and in general, searching the Internet take us back to 2014, the boom of bitcoin mining, so now they are not of much value.
There are several servers of different capacities that are idle and in fact payment for them is based on the power of the power supply and not on the energy consumed. Why not. If it is enough for some overseas vpn in bitcoins, then it’s good.
How are things going with cryptocurrency exchanges, i.e. if the site accepts payment in bitcoins, and I mine litecoins, can I exchange them and pay normally? Does it make sense to suffer all this garbage.

No.
Litecoin has already died, and is worth nothing, but the complexity is great.
You can mine something on the processor only if you have hundreds or thousands of them)
