What is better to choose for backend'a?
Hello! Need advice! I am engaged (studying, practicing) iOS development (Swift, Objective-C), I have ideas for pet projects for the sake of portfolio and practice, but without a backend they cannot be implemented. I have already written one application, which has a backend - a site on Wordpress (its REST API is very cool). But WP is not suitable for my task. What if you need to write a server, but there are not enough skills to do everything correctly? What can you advise? Rather, even what technology to choose and study it? Node.js, PHP, or Firebase? How restrictive is Firebase in terms of functionality?
Already familiar with Node.js (quite a bit), PHP (Yii2) - but haven't written full-fledged REST APIs on them

if you already know swift, what's stopping you from writing backing on it?
the only "downside" is the avoidance of proprietary apple SDKs. which is not a problem now.
If you have minimal JS skills, then for the backend you can look towards AWS Lambda, Google Cloud Functions.
