Who-what to share? Which is better for promotion - posts or pages?

Start with semantics, cluster and build structure. Search engines do not like deep nesting, as mentioned above, but at the same time they love a logical structure. For an average site, you will most likely have no more than 3-4 nesting levels for "/". Therefore, I am for the second option with pages.
