What is better for this bundle of iron 2 by 16 GB, or 4 by 8?

MSI B450M MORTAR MAX (Memory channels -2, RAM slots -4), AMD Ryzen 5 3600 processor (Channels -2). Which option is better, 2x16, or 4x8, despite the fact that an upgrade over 32 GB is not planned?
