What is better - CMS on an Open-source framework or self-written?
Hello,
I would like to know the arguments of the community, because. I can't fully resolve this issue for myself.
There is a small studio (I am a programmer and designer) and a CMS, which already works fine on many sites, including large ones.
The CMS and the framework are completely self-written, there are no problems, everything that is needed is implemented without crutches, there are even plugin systems for installing standard solutions on another project. In general, everything suits.
And the question that torments me is whether it is worth rewriting the framework to open source, because the plan is to hire employees / freelancers and it will undoubtedly be easier for them to master the publicly known framework. But, on the other hand, I want to leave the CMS logic as it is, and in this case, although the platform will be familiar, the implementation will still require an entry threshold. It happened to me with another project that had to be supported, it seemed to be written in an open-source framework, but due to the nature of the project, everything was so confusing that the framework did not help in putting things in order. In today's market, is the Not invented here
paradigm justified in relation to a framework/CMS?

Wouldn't it be easier to properly document your self-written framework than to rewrite CMS on a public framework?
If, as you write, everything is so good with you, then with normal documentation, adequate employees whom you want to hire should understand everything quite normally. Yes, and it will be easier for you to maintain your framework and CMS, if you have documentation and well-commented code.
