What is better and / or more effective - chef vs puppet?

Hey Habr!
There is an understanding that these are 2 different products, but they perform approximately the same tasks.
Let's say there is a server infrastructure consisting of N hosts, where N >> 50. The OS is mostly Debian.
Due to the fact that you want to bring this same infrastructure to a common denominator and be able to easily manage it, you need to implement chef or puppet.
The question is complex:
1. Which of these two products can be dealt with faster from scratch?
2. Which of these two solutions can make the above task faster and easier?
3. Which product is easier to maintain later?
4. Which of these solutions has more manuals and articles, which makes it easier to google and achieve results?
Thank you!

1. Ansible
2. The one you know best.
3. The one you are used to.
4. Yes, for all manuls it’s simply unmeasured, as well as ready-made recipes, templates, developments.
I would advise you to take a closer look at ansible, but this is my personal taste.

Good afternoon!
Personally, I settled on salt.
docs.saltstack.com The
convenience of python worked in my favor. I manage servers from one server, configure configs and keep them up to date

There is a much easier way to manage the infrastructure - to collect packages for everything and install them. Configs, monitoring - pack everything.
And it is easy to install packages through any cms.
