Is it possible to use wsl2 distributions on a different drive?

1. Where are wsl users located on drive C?
2. Is it possible to install / and /home partitions on any other drive? I tried to install according to this guide, but the distro still eats up the resources of the C drive.

The distribution kit itself is most likely somewhere in the Windows directory (where the rest of the software downloaded from the MS Store is stored), but it most likely does not weigh very much.
But Linux deployed in WSL lies in the user profile. Transfer the profile to another disk and you will be happy.
In general, a profile on another disk helps a lot when you need to reinstall Windows. For 15 years I have been practicing this everywhere my hands can reach :)
