Minimum requirement - always pay attention to the requirements of applications (what they want to access): getting the application of the same notepad access to the camera is at least suspicious. I would not use such an application.
And there is only one conclusion so far: now there are no safe smartphones, because there is no trust in the code and manufacturers of mobile operating systems and applications. Keep confidential information in your mobile phone - only at your own peril and risk.
Encryption in smartphones is also such encryption. No one can guarantee the secrecy of the key. And to check its secrecy, either a lot of resources are needed, or it is simply impossible (closed sources).
So it's sad now with information security when using smartphones -_-.
