What is an IP68 certified smartphone?
I can not decide on the next phone. The phone must have a touchscreen (and not a push-button, for use as a navigator) and be protected from water. When viewing crash tests, for some reason everyone throws them, kicks them, but I have not seen good water tests.
Rugged smartphones have a degree of shell protection (ip), mainly 67 Short-term immersion to a depth of up to 1m and no more than 30 minutes. Phones that are registered as ip68 on other sites are also in the spirit of 1 meter and no more than 30 minutes.
So how should ip be understood? If for me, for example, it will sink to 1.5 meters? If I keep it in water for an hour or two? What if he falls from 3-4 meters into the water?

Samsung XCover 2, Textet 3204R - it's all ip67, crash test with water - www.youtube.com/watch?v=HPwWeJWMxFU
TeXet X-driver - a full-fledged ip68
I held it in my hands - it's nice, but texet is scary just as a phone. ..
As a result, I live on XCover 2, dropped it from 2 meters onto a tile, flooded it a little - while the flight is normal.
