What is a simple text editor that syncs with Evernote under Windows\Web?

When trying to type text in Evernote, I constantly encounter such a situation - firstly, when starting, Evernote goes into not responding _for a few minutes_. Then I open the note, write 2 lines, and in mid-sentence it freezes again - and again for _minutes_. Then again 2 lines, and again hanging. (Similar problems, by the way, have been hanging on the Evernote forums unresolved for years, and the support only continues to advise "but install this beta version as well.")
In this connection, I am looking for a tool that could be used as an external text editor for Evernote, only easy .
You can send text to Evernote just by writing a letter - it's not a problem. But if you want to edit existing notes, then it seems there are no options. Or is there?

I found another option for myself - I launch the Evernote web client in Chrome in a separate window in application shortcut mode. Works much faster than the application under Windows.
