What is a simple engine for gamedev?
Recommend a simple engine for creating games, scripts for which can be written in Python (preferably). So that it can be used to make a simple 3D quest or shooter, but not very powerful like Unity & Cry / Unreal. One that can be mastered in 2-3 weeks.

Blitz3D is the only engine I used during self-study. True, there is BlitzBasic, and it is already ancient
Unity has been successful in part because it's simple. Yes, there are a lot of delicious and complex things there, but you don’t have to use them all.
Godot - as an alternative. There, however, not quite Python, but a very similar scripting language that can be easily mastered after Python.
The problem with "simple" engines is that at some point you will face pain or even the inability to do something, implement some feature, idea. Either engine bugs will get you, or performance problems, or something else. Therefore, it is better not to look for "easy" ways, but to take one of the simplest and most stable engines of our time - Unity, which is used by all normal people. A sea of knowledgeable people and a bunch of documentation and videos will help you in difficult times, which cannot be said about a "simple" engine, the author of which has not updated it for a year, but scored on bugs.
