What is a JS plugin to emulate the back end when developing an HTML prototype?

Hello.

There are many, many already laid out static pages (say, user profile settings) and a few pages (user profile, for example) with many possible states that change depending on the input data.

A couple of years ago, I came across a jQuery framework for quickly prototyping interfaces in HTML. A distinctive feature was the ability to pass variables to the transition page (in fact, this was an emulation of the back-end).

If someone has dealt with a similar framework, share the link. Or tell me which way to dig.
