What if you do not include a redirect when switching from http to https for the first time?

Plato's message says the following: If necessary, set up a redirect from a non-primary mirror to the main one. It is undesirable to do this before the sites are recognized as mirrors, since in this case pages with redirects will be excluded from the search according to Yandex's rules for processing redirects. While gluing mirrors, if possible, it is better to leave the site available to the robot at both addresses.

that is, since I just switched the site to https today, should I leave it without a redirect, and let the site be available at both addresses?

at the same time, I indicated https in the robots and also https in the site settings. Is everything right?

That's right: switch to HTTPS, and do a redirect only when Yashka deigns to change the main mirror.

And, note, HSTS should not be enabled until you are sure that there are no problems with https (neither from search engines, nor in the browser).
