What if the site was indexed at the development stage?

I developed a site on a separate hosting with a left domain and it so happened that Google indexed it, although a different hosting and a different domain were prepared for it. I'm not an SEO expert, so I don't even know how to google this question.
Actually, what is the best thing to do in this situation? Is it possible to remove the site "under development" from Google and have it indexed on a new hosting with a new domain?
