What if the program is not installed to the root of the C:\ drive?

I had an idea to play pirates, but I don’t want viruses, so I wondered if you install software with viruses not in the root of the C:\ drive, but in the user’s folder, then the virus will not multiply throughout the computer, but only for this user? I got this idea from the fact that if you install the program not in C:\Proggram Files but in C:\user_name\Programm Files (Or something like that), then the program will be available only for one User.

You can even put it on the D drive in Program Files. There is no difference in 99% of cases.
Also, viruses do not care what directory they are in.
