What if the customer imposes his own?

Hello! How to work and talk with such people? Often I come across customers who radically change my entire design, then make all the headings and inscriptions in red so that they “shoutâ€, then the background is not at all appropriate, they ask, and the like. I understand that the client is right, etc. and that this is his site. But often, from the point of view of web design, they ask for nonsense, besides, others will judge me by this "creation"

Try to find the maximum compromise, but otherwise: The customer is always right.

You do what the client wants, you get yours and you forget it like a bad dream. If the result is very constraining, you do not put authorship. Yes, it's a shame, but it's just another job and that's how it turned out. From now on, you try to choose a customer with a closer sense of beauty. As the years go by, there will be less and less of these cases.

Mike Monteiro Design is work. Read this is what you need. And Kemp, but that's optional.
Now let's get on topic.
Above you wrote correctly.
The point is this. Usually the customer tries to influence the design process not from a good life. He senses a problem, but he cannot formulate it in your language.
However, you can't let the customer work on the design with you (why else would you even be needed?).
Agree at the very beginning of the project that you will receive feedback not in the form of amendments - this is your work, but in the form of feelings from the design. Not “here is the background to screamâ€, but “it seems to me that this block with information is poorly visible to the user.â€
These things need to be agreed upon before the start of the project.
What if the customer is trying to use you as a background painter? Do not work with such people, after making sure that all means to resolve the process have been exhausted.
And be sure to read the book. There are answers to many of your questions.
