What if an object is displayed in Object Mode but not in Edit Mode?

This happened after I decided to look at the result of the work using the cycles renderer. I did not like the result and I decided to cancel it.

After I decided to change my object and switched to Edit Mode, however, the faces are not displayed, only the ages.

If you switch to local mode (shift + h or /), then ages and faces completely disappear in edit mode, and in object mode it remains as it was.

What to do in this case? Has anyone had a similar experience?
