What HTTP response should be sent if the site is closed and there will be another site on this domain soon?

Hey! There is a .NET
domain . Previously, it had one Russian-language site, which then moved to a new domain. And this old net-domain has been redirecting to a new domain for half a year. Now I plan to remove the redirect and use this .NET domain for a completely different English site. Question: What is the best way for me to perform a site change on this NET domain so that search engines understand that this is a completely new site, not related to the old one? For now, before uploading a new site, I plan to disable the redirect for a couple of weeks, so that there is nothing on this domain, and the search engines seem to forget about this domain. Does it make sense? If so, does this make sense, then how exactly is it best to perform a shutdown? My options:

1) Disable the redirect and return, say, 410 (Gone) or 444 (No response).
2) In general, turn off the domain via DNS.

UPD:
Once again I emphasize that the only question is how to make it as efficient as possible so that search engines begin to perceive this NET domain as a completely new site . And that's it. The old site on this domain was a very long time ago, and only a couple of weeks. Now no one visits this domain anymore, there are no external links to it, it also had no rank, so there is no benefit from it. So I plan to use it for a completely different site.
UPD2:
I will add that some pages of this NET domain are still in the index, and they still appear in the search results instead of the new domain. But this is probably only 1% of the pages, and I can close my eyes to this. But nevertheless, the move to the new domain is not fully implemented. And in the Google Webmasters Console there is still a request to change the name. That is, search engines apparently still consider these domains to be mirrors. And my task is to “stick” these mirrors as painlessly as possible, making them independent sites.

Put a stub and 302 redirect from all pages to this stub
. But if there was another site, it would be better not to kill it until you make a new one.

The ideal option is not to kill the old one, because - if you delete pages - the ranking will gradually fall.
The only thing that allows you to save the ranking is 301 redirects.
As soon as you redirect to the stub, users will go to the site en masse and run away from it - and this is again not good, and indexing it by the phrase "site closed" is not an idea.
The normal option is to create another site and transfer visitors from all key pages to a site in another domain zone at the same time, even if the links change from /auto/ to /ta4ki/ - the rating will switch.

1. Paste mirrors in Yandex.Webmaster and Google Webmasters.
2. Remove redirects.
